For the fourth consecutive year, the European Union in Egypt has sponsored its annual EU Photography Competition, encouraging amateur Egyptian photographers to take on their cameras. This year’s theme – New Egypt, was particularly important as it asked the photographers to share their thoughts about their country following the January 2011 revolution. Thirty winners were selected and ArtTalks curated the 2-week exhibition that took place at the Ambassador’s residence.
Free Egyptians Party (El Masryeen el Ahrrar) held a Fund Raising Gala Dinner entitled “Egypt … the Ultimate Investment” on 25th Of October, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Garden City.
As part of the Fund Raising Gala, ArtTalks organized and curated a live auction with 28 works of art from 25 established and emerging Egyptian artists, who generously donated 70% of the sale to the FEP. Visual artist Khaled Hafez was the live auctioneer.

The proceeds received through the Gala tables sales, corporate sponsorships, art auction, and with individual contributions were dedicated to support the Free Egyptians Party liberal orientation toward a civil democratic society and political campaigning.
