For the fourth consecutive year, the European Union in Egypt has sponsored its annual EU Photography Competition, encouraging amateur Egyptian photographers to take on their cameras. This year’s theme – New Egypt, was particularly important as it asked the photographers to share their thoughts about their country following the January 2011 revolution. Thirty winners were selected and ArtTalks curated the 2-week exhibition that took place at the Ambassador’s residence.
